Canal Gallery offers condolences to the family and friends of Brenda Carter.  The gallery has been associated with Brenda for many years and she was featured in the earliest versions of our website.

This handsome pencil watercolour painting was featured on our site in February of 2001.

“This majestic bird returned early from migration to its nest site at the Andrewsville Locks.  I found it on April first, perched on a limb and eating a fish it had just caught.  Every summer I enjoy sketching the adults and young as they feed unconcerned by the river.  This one is small and does not have a lot of dark feathers on its breast so it is probably a male.” – B.
